This non-profit program provides year-round fun activities and support for special needs kids.
Some of the kids who benefit from this program are:
Terminally and chronically ill kids
Kids who are blind, disabled, abused, diabetic
Kids with heart, kidney and liver diseases
Children with cancer, leukemia, AIDS, brain tumors
Autistic children, kids with serious medical, physical and emotional challenges
Basically - All special needs kids are warmly welcome!!
This program is non-profit and proudly operates under the auspices if West County Community Services. The group operates solely on donations, and no one is salaried. They are a fully dedicated Labor-of-Love caring team that is bureacracy-free and they are all very proud of it!
Currently they provide the following:
From June through September - A BBQ every Wednesday evening for special needs kids and their immediate families. This includes fishing, volleyball, horseshoes, frisbee and beach ball.
From October through May - Skating, bowling, trout fishing, holiday parties, field trips, pizza parties and more! Offering these special kids a break from their treatements and some time for these kids to "be kids" is one of the best things this program provides.
If you know someone who would benefit from this program, or would like to donate to this program - please contact Bob Burke at PO Box 602, Forestville, California 95436 - 707-887-2222. Thanks!
